Nurse came in for routine checkup, she budged Jai to wake him up.He woke up and went to use washroom to feel little fresh.
He came back to room,the doctors gathered there examining the recent reports which was just brought by the nurse.The doctor gave few instructions to the nurse about the medication, started to moving out of the room,he slowly asked Jai to meet him in his cabin as grandma was still sleeping because of sleeping pills and high dosage injections.
Jai started to worrying while making way to the doctor's cabin,he was not ready to listen any bad news but anyhow the previous gestures were not in favour of him,he was expecting deep down to have such news until or unless a miracle happens.Before entering into the cabin,he closed his eyes and prayed for just one miracle.
He entered the cabin,the doctor asked him to take the seat but out of hurry he asked please tell me,she will be all right na? The doctor said, please Jai take the seat,he sat down,you need to keep patients not for us but for your grandma.I would like you to know,she has diagnosed with rare infection also called as Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in medical terms which is spreading slowly in her body causing multiple organs to fail.Our team is trying our best,but as you know at this age,also being patient of diabetes,it is hardly possible for her to survive as she is really weak to fight against the infection.I am sorry to tell you this.
Jai was lost after hearing what just doctor said unable to process it properly.The doctor offered him a glass of water,Jai you need to stay strong as she needs you.Miracle happens,sometimes more than medicines, prayers work.We ensure you,we will fight for her till the end.We just need you in this,the patient needs love and care.After grasping everything,Jai spoke how much time she is left with? The doctor replied,I am not sure,we are keeping her in observation,lets see how she responds to the treatment,then only I would be able to say something but for yet I would say might be a month.
He returned to the room with moist eyes,the grandma was awake by now.He tried to hide his tears,but as soon he entered the room,grandma asked him what happen Jai? When you are going to take me home,I am still not this old to stay at hospital for so long.Jai kept looking at her without responding.She asked him again Jai tell me,speak, oho don't worry I am fine.See I am talking to you.
Before she could have uttered any more words,Jai ran into her arms controlling his tears,said I am so happy to hear you,I love you darling.Grandma sensed something serious,asked him Jai please tell me what is happening? He took the seat beside her,holding her hands told her about the disease and now how she has to stay here under observation.Her face fell off after hearing such news.
Jai regained the strength to give her hope,kissing her hands said, darling we are going to fight with this,we are going to win,we won't going to let this disease take our lives from us.She smiled in affirmation.I don't care about the disease,the time we are left with or if any miracle will going to happen or not. I just want to know your dreams,it was always me since my birth,your life revolved around me what are my likes,dislikes,dreams,goals and everythings.Let me know yours,this time what you want to do? Tell me.
Darling caressed his cheeks,you always have been lovely child to me,I am so happy to have you in my life,whether I have years or days,I just wish to spend them all with you seeing you grow and glow.I had lost love from my life when your grandpa died years ago,a void was there always which were filled up by you.I miss your grandpa but never gets sad because you have become my everything,just stay with me,I want to die happily.He hugged her again promising him to stay here with her.
