Chapter 17- Don't uglies have right to Love? - Don't sip my coffee!

After their practice session,they went back downstairs while Jai ordered his driver to get homemade food.

Three of them sat together and ate the dinner,Darling said while eating,I am so happy,you are staying over today,after so many years we have someone for dinner.Dhwani replied,If it really makes you happy,I can stay with you often,Jai interrupted her saying, how many more favors you wanna do for us,on which Dhwani complained to darling saying Jai doesn't consider me as a friend and keep on saying this stupid favor line,Am I not close to you? Darling replied,you are sweetest bacha.Dhwani replied,then ask him to stop thinking like this.Grandma looked at Jai with big eyes saying,Don't you say it again.Jai replied,okay I'll not and laughed.

Grandma took her medicines,while Dhwani sat beside hee caressing her head and Jai was reading her favourite poetries.Soon she felt asleep.They both made their way out of the room without making any noise.Dhwani said,you can also sleep now,I'll be awake if anything comes up will wake you up,I promise now please you take some rest.Grandma has started showing positive results,while you take care of her,you also need to take care of yourself,now please you sleep.Jai replied,but what will you do alone? She replied,I could read her favourite books and flip through the album pages.I'll manage,you go inside and sleep.

Jai nodded okay,and they went inside the room,while he took the couch to sleep,Dhwani sat down on the chair beside grandma picking up few books and a album.It was all silence,she spoke through gestures to Jai,good night sleep well,I am here,don't worry.He too replied with gestures saying Good night.Dhwani start reading the book,while Jai looking at her slowly closed his eyes.

After flipping through few poetries,Dhwani looked at both who were sleeping peacefully by now,she fold her hands in prayers and closed her eyes made wish,that two of them stay happy and together.She looked at the window,from where some light was coming in,she went to that window and looked outside the window.She smiled seeing the far away lights,Jai once mentioned about.She said to herself,It is indeed beautiful.She opened the window,and there was quite windy outside like a small storm before rain comes.She tried to pull back the windows and lock it back,but before she could have done that few dried leaves made their way inside.

She locked the window,and look behind her and start picking the dried leaves,she cleaned the mess made.Then suddenly, she looked at Jai,the blanket was fallen off from him because of wind,she came closure and put the blanket back on him while looking at him for a while,as for the very first time,she had seen him sleeping serenely,she thought to herself,he is really cute.

Then while making way to grandma bed to check on her,she bumped her elbow into resting canvas,brushes were hanging with canvas,fell off making noise through the silence and Jai got awake.Dhwani talked to herself saying,Oh shit! She came closer to him saying,I am sorry to disturb you,please sleep back again.He was wide awake like he hadn't slept.He whispered,I have an issue,I can't sleep if my sleep gets disturbed.She said,shit man! Please give it a try.He replied,could you see anymore sleep in my eyes,it's okay I already had good sleep for sometime after a long time,thanks to you.Now you won't have to stay up all night,you could sleep here.I'll look after her.

Jai stood up and made his way out of the room to have some water.Dhwani sat on couch meanwhile,he came back.He looked at the window and then asked her,have you seen far away lights from here? She whispered,yes the view is amazing.Jai went closer to the window to look outside,she stopped him saying it's all windy outside showing him picked up yellow dried up leaves which made their way in from window.

He became excited after hearing about weather,said in joy,you sleep,I'll back in few minutes,I am going upstairs to enjoy the weather.Dhwani replied,why would I sleep,I'll come along,I love this kinda weather also.Jai replied,Oh! I am sorry,I didn't ask you, wait let me pick up coffee for two of us and then let's go to terrace.

Jai came with two cups of coffee,they made their way out of the room,while on staircase he asked Dhwani to wait,then got back into room,picked up the blanket and went back.Dhwani asked,What is this for? He replied,for precautions,if rain gets start.She replied,and you think it will be our rain coat or umbrella.He laughed saying stop pulling my leg and don't make noise.

They went upstairs,it was all windy,the sky wasn't clear so mere moon was visible or just its light below were far away lights making the view more mesmerizing.Dhwani sat on cemented block saying wow,its amazing! Jai replied,thank god I didn't miss it.They both smiled.Jai putting coffee on the blocks went to pick out ukulele from store-room.

Dhwani picked up the cup with the lid and start sipping the coffee.Jai came back saying I always wanted to play in such weather,she smiled raising coffee up in air saying coffee-high-five,you got your chance and I am lucky to be audience of Jai's live show under the stars.He took his cup in air to do coffee-high-five and after that took the sip and realised it wasn't his as he had added vodka in his coffee.He spoke taking coffee cup out of her hands saying,don't sip my coffee! It's mine.She took the glass away saying it's the best coffee,I have ever had,strong with different taste,you can take that cup.He laughed.She asked what? He replied,because your cup has vodka buddhu.She splashed coffee out of her mouth saying,what????

He laughed,yes I didn't went back to get blanket,I was mixing vodka.I thought to have a small drink in such lovely weather to take some tiredness off.She laughed saying and I thought it's little bitter because it's strong.Jai came closer to her to get his cup back,she took her hands away saying it's amazing,I have tasted alcohol for the first time,get yourself another drink,it's mine now.He laughed saying,okay have it but wait If it's your first drink,let me come back with mine then we will have your first ever cheers.

He came back with another cup of drink,they both raised their drinks up in air and did cheers.Jai asked her taking first sip,how come you haven't tried alcohol ever.She replied,because I was so busy in getting tired from my life and you were right,this drink surely keeps your tiredness off.Jai looked at her,she was laughing a little more than she usually laughs.He realised,the drink has started showing in her blood but thought to let her enjoy her first drink.

Dhwani jumped off the cemented block saying,Have you ever screamed out your pain? Jai asked wondering what she meant,like? Her tone got changed because of vodka,she was high as she was saying in broken sentences.She laughed a lot before saying anything further replied,I have seen it in a movie people go at an edge and scream out and feel better about their pain.Do you wanna try? He asked,but I am not in any pain.

She came closer,put her both hands on her shoulder pulling him towards her looking straight into his eyes said,You don't say anything but I can see the hidden pain behind your beautiful eyes.Jai kept looking at her for a while thinking how would she saw that he had hidden from everyone.While Dhwani opened her mouth to scream,Jai put her hand on her mouth saying sshhh! It's all silence,we can't scream.She repeated after him,sshhh! Okay I'll not make any noise and started whispering.

Dhwani asked Jai whispering,why you don't up and share all your worries with me,It pains me seeing you like this.You look awesome when you laugh,yours eyes get different kind of spark when you laugh through your heart,Jai interrupted her saying and all the time you were noticing the spark in my eyes.She replied instantly,since the day we met at metro then cut herself in mid said I mean since we have become friends.He picked up that line,the day we met at metro and asked what you were saying about meeting at metro tell me.She cut him off taking his hand in hers and pointing at the sky from another hand,hey look at that star it's shining between strom,the star made through this.

He smiled back and sensed that she had a lot in her than he knows about her till now asked,Dhwani Why you want to scream? You have something which pains? She went lost thinking about something and then after a while spoke,it did hurt and now its just scars,it looks painful but doesn't hurt anymore,by this time she had tears in her eyes.

Jai didn't think for a while before hugging her,that was all vodka which made him feel to hug her.He pull her closer to him from the hand she was holding onto,and hugged her gently resting his chin over her shoulder while Dhwani had her head over his chest and hands behind him hugging him back with the same love,Jai was caressing her head while hugging her.He asked,Can I open your hairs? Dhwani had messy bun this time,She whispered,yes.He took her rubber band off from her messy bun,her long silky hairs fell off onto her back,Jai took her head off a little from his chest adjust ing her front fringes and then held her back in his arms,moving his fingers over her hairs on back.They held each other for longer while wind kept blowing,she didn't scream but a hug in silence was all set to pull off her pains from her heart.
