Next day,Dhwani was at centre taking coffee break downstairs chit-chatting with Ruhi as usual when Ruhi brought Jai's topic asking how's progress going on with that hot guy? Dhwani smiled,It's going great,today we are going to start "lag ja gale" chords.Ruhi gave her a look which meant she was asking about the progress between them two.Dhwani laughed what? Ruhi replied,you know what I mean.I am asking about you,he is decent guy and you have agreed to help him breaking rules here,you must have something for him,else how "Harish Chand" you are everyone know here.
Dhwani moving bit away from her throwing paper coffee in dustbin replied,we all broke rules for somebody and this time he isn't the reason,might be his story is.How he is all alone handling the stuff,he has no visitors there in hospital,and only person whom he calls his family is slowly dying.He is really a strong person.Ruhi replied,So you are and you both haven't crossed each others path again and again without any reason.Dhwani look, he might be the lost love which could fill void of your heart.
Dhwani replied,Ruhi you know,the love isn't for me and so I am for love.I belive this and has accepted it with whole heart.He is really a nice person to have in your life,you can say he is perfect anyone can fall in love with him.But I have no doors open to love someone.Ruhi looked furious now,she snapped at her,Dhwani it's just you who is holding her heart back,there is still true love in this world for you and by holding it back you are letting the best person away from you,please get over your love theory,love is for you also and you can be for love also.It's just you have to leave your past in your past and start living in present.
Ruhi started moving back to their floor fiercely,Dhwani hold her hand and said,Ruhi what do you think? I haven't tried leaving my past in past but the more I try,the more world make me realise,nothing can change.I have tried Ruhi,Dhwani had tears by now.Ruhi replied,I am sorry Dhwani I didn't mean to hurt you,I just want love in your life,I want to see you happy like you were hugging her.Dhwani hugged her back saying I am happy because I have a best friend like you.Ruhi asked,okay I understand but you have to promise me one thing? Dhwani replied what? She replied,If love will knock at your door itself,you won't keep it shut,you will let it in.Dhwani smiled back,okay baba.They both smiled.
Grandma was sleeping as she was injected with hard medicine while,Jai thought to braid her hairs if it doesn't come good,so he could do it again.Slowly without making any noise,he started braiding her hairs remembering how Dhwani told him,he made the wrong cross over,then got confused while doing it correctly.
Dhwani entered into the room,he looked at him waving and then he signal her to keep quite as she was sleeping.Dhwani doing gestures saying do you need any help? He showed her braid done by him,it was all mess.Dhwani laughed putting her hand over her mouth,he made wierd angry face while Dhwani standing at a distance without making noise said,I'll tell you again,follow me.He smiled back excitedly.Then she started making gestures guiding him to braid,flipping her hands over other telling him to crossover left over middle partition then right over middle one.It was done,he gave her virtual high-five.He repeated the same on other side.
Dhwani brought two cute rubber bands for her,she passed them to Jai.He looked at them and tell her in gestures it is so cute.While he was putting rubber band in her braid,she woke up.Dhwani and Jai,made awkward moments like child do when they get caught doing some prank.Jai got bump into the side table and medicine tray fell.
Three of them started laughing,then grandma notice her braids and asked who did this? Jai replied I have done this and if you are going to scold,let me tell you it was Dhwani who guided me.Dhwani looked at him with big eyes as he was dragging her in when he feared to get scold.Grandma laughed her heart out saying,this is really cute.I love them,specially these cute rubberbands.Dhwani took her chance to get appreciated saying,I brought them.This time Jai looked her with big eyes as she was taking appreciation for his good job at braids.
Three of them took pictures together with grandma in braids.They kept talking for a while,about all those days when grandma was in school and lived with her parents and how she used to dress up Jai like a girl with dupatta and small fountain ponytails as he had long shiny hairs.Then,nurse came in for routine checkup and asked Jai to visit the doctor.Jai started making his way out,Dhwani stopped him saying,Jai I am coming along.
They both entered into doctor's cabin,he asked them the sit.They both were wishing to hear some good news about darling.Doctor start talking,It's been 3 days after surgery and we are keeping eyes on her time to time looking for some miracle out of no hopes left and the good news is miracle has happened.The surgery have started showing positive results on her.It's not always medicines,I have told you before also that love,care and prayers do more magic.
Thanks to you both who helped us with all of three.It's our shared efforts and success.Dhwani,it was your great idea to make her room like one back at her home as she became so happy and is fighting like a brave woman.Ultimately,her body has started responding to the treatment.
They both were so happy to hear the news,out of joy they both hugged each other with tears of happiness in thier eyes and then after a while, they both realised, it was a hug.Jai took his hands off from Dhwani saying I am sorry.Dhwani making everything normal raising her hands in air said,high-five.He high-fived and smiled back at her.
They both thanked the doctor,then Jai asked will she be able to go back at home? Doctor replied,we have won the half battle,the other half has to won still then definitely she can.Let's hope for some magic meantime,enjoy the smell of phenyl and medicines everywhere,they all laughed.The doctor replied,I am also not that boring.They smiled and made their way back.
Jai came.into room and almost ran into grandma like small kid he was back then to his grandma telling her,the treatment has started working on her and if she will keep recovering at this rate,she would be able to go back home soon.She smiled and replied,how would I have not get recovered,you both are magic in my life.Dhwani came closer and they both hugged grandma from opposite sides together.
They went upstairs to have their practice sessions and started with chords of "Lag ja gale",Dhwani made him learnt the chords with chart drawing,soon he was practicing the chords,while he started playing the tune,Dhwani sang along with it.Jai stopped playing but she kept singing like she was lost in that song.Jai didn't interrupted her,soon she realised he wasn't playing anymore.
She looked at him,he smiled saying,your voice is amazing,why haven't you sang anything before.She smiled back,saying you know what is amazing more than my singing? He asked what? She replied your paintings,they were like people see at paintings auction.Jai laughed,now you are lying.She replied,I am serious belive me.You should start painting again.He replied,okay if you say so,I will try.She smiled back.
Dhwani left for her home,as per regular routine Jai dropped her at car.Before leaving,she asked Jai, Can I come earlier tomorrow? He asked,You don't have class at centre? She told him,It's saturday so I don't have any classes.He said,okay tell me timings then,my driver will come to pick you up.She replied,No thanks,I'll come myself,actually I have some other plans.Jai smiled saying I guess a date? Dhwani smiled and replied,wrong guess,it's happens on sunday with Aadi.They both laughed.
Later that evening,Jai went home to take some new clothes and leave used ones back for laundary.He took his car off the garage to go back to hospital,and left,he was just few meters away from his house when he thought something.He put the reverse gear,went back and ran into his room picked up blank canvas,his brushes and colors.
Dhwani was at her bed,aadi was sleeping beside her as he was so happy from her maasi as she brought pizza for him today.She hugged aadi caressing his head,soon she hugged him,she remembered the hug back at hospital,she had all smiles while sleeping thinking about that hug.
