Dhwani sitting near her room window sipping coffee with Mehr Di, talked endlessly about Jai and his darling.Mehr interuppted her in between saying,Dhwani you seem crazy about them within few days.On which she replied,meet them once Di you will love them.Mehr Di replied,them? Dhwani laughed.Di replied,oh! I see you mean Jai.
Dhwani took a pause thinking about Jai's words,you are my responsibility said,Di there's something special in Jai,the way he cares telling driver everyday to drive carefully and wait until I get in the house.The way he loves his grandma.But I feel sad about his life,he is amidst of everything alone,there are no visitors,no one except him is beside grandma to take care of her.Di got confused and asked,What about his parents? She told Di about whole scrapbook story,how she went through pictures but there was no presence of his parents except at the day he was born.Di I think,they have died and Jai was raised all alone by his grandma.
I think Di,I should stay beside him,he is all alone.He doesn't show much infront of his darling but I know he keep on smiling so that she won't worry but deep down he worries a lot.Even I am scared by the thought of him losing his grandma,can't even imagine how scary he would have been by this thought.He would be all alone if something gonna happen to her.
Di replied,Dhwani don't worry,I and mumma are praying for her good health,she will start recovering soon.I wish this treatment would be of some help.
Jai sitting beside his grandma hold her hand,while she was asleep.He kept looking at her,thinking what he would do without her.Then,his dad came into his mind,he talked to himself,I know he will not come but I have to inform him for grandma, she would be happy to see her son in her last days picking out his cellphone and texted his dad,"Grandma is not well,she has been diagnosed with Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and she is left with very less time.It would be good,if you visit her".
He didn't got replied,he became furious seeing such reaction from his dad.After 30 minutes,he got response that "Take care of her.I have urgent meetings next couple of days,I'll try to come".Reading such text back,he banged his fist in wall,he wanted to shout on him telling him that he is worst son and dad in this world.But he controlled his anger and just replied,"Don't come,we don't need your favour".His dad text back quickly,"Jai don't get angry,try to understand".Jai replied fiercly,"We both have been understanding you since years,it would have been good,if you ever had understood us once,Goodbye.You will remain,Mr. Kashyap".
He decided to not tell his dad any updates from now onwards.A paper got fell from his pocket,he picked it up to check,it was the paper in which Dhwani have written the chords for him to practice,he started folding the paper to keep it,he saw something written on backside of the page,he turned and there was a smiley drawn and written "Smile please!".Soon the anger left Jai and he smiled at such cute gesture of her.He thought to himself,Dhwani never misses any chance to make us feel loved and cared.She is not here but still she changed my whole mood.How sweet she is.
Next day,Dhwani reached hospital just before surgery as she went to temple to pray for her and quickly rushed to the room,grandma was already been taken to Operation Theathre.She almost ran and jumped the stairs to meet her,taking heavy breath she was standing infront of grandma smiling waving Hi! Grandma asked nurse to stop for a while.Dhwani hugged her and put vibuthi from Sai baba temple on her forhead,hold her hand and said,We are waiting for you,come soon.Grandma smiled back and was taken inside.
Jai gave Dhwani a glass of water so she could catch her normal breath,Dhwani took out the same vibuthi and put that on Jai's forhead telling him not to worry.They both waited outside the OT sitting at opposite benches,the silence between two was quite hearable,saying itself they both are scared whether grandma will survive or not.
Dhwani went to use washroom and came back with two cups of coffee,standinf in front of him asked coffee? He refused to take,Dhwani insisted him to take the coffee saying grandma will scold me for keeping best grandson in the world without food or drinks.He smiled and asked her to sit with him, she sat beside him.Jai removing the silence asked Dhwani,What do you think,would I will be able to fulfill her last wish? Dhwani replied,Jai when you do things from heart,no power on this esrth could stop you.You heart is so pure and I belive,God will not break it.
Dhwani felt in moist eyes of Jai that he is becoming weak day by day tackling these situations alone.Jai looked away from her hiding his moist eyes,Dhwani looked at his hand resting on side of hers on bench.She wanted to hold it to console him but she felt hesitated to do so.But then She thought,I should make him feel,he is not alone in this fight.She slowly moved her hand over his,saying Jai you are not alone.Jai turned towards her with moist eyes and said,Thank you for bieng here,Dhwani I don't want to loose her.She replied slowly moving her fingers into his fingers entangling his hand in hers,You won't Jai,look at me,I am not giving you false hope.She will survive through this.
Meanwhile doctors came out of the OT,Jai wiping his tears ran towards the door to ask hows she? The doctor replied, The surgery was successful Jai,we will transfer her back to her room after 24 hours.Let's hope,this therapy show some good news in her recovery.Jai thanked doctor folding his both hands,Doctor pat his back saying,not everything is in our hands,prayers do also work.
Jai looked at Dhwani and they both passed smile of relief.They both went in to see her,they stood behind curtains to not disturb her as she was still unconcious,they both had tears of joy in thier eyes while seeing her resting peacefully.
They got out of OT wiped thier tears and said together,let's work on our plan.Both laughed after saying same thing together.Jai said,I have not been to home since few days,and I can't leave her alone here in night so was not able to go home to pick up her stuff.Would you like to come with me? It would be good,if you'll be there choosing stuff to bring here as it was your idea.Dhwani replied,Why not? Lets move and come back early before she wakes up and we will have plenty of time to makeover her room also.
They went to parking,Jai asked driver to stay here if anything urgent comes up to call him asking for car key.Jai opened the doors lock,Dhwani quickly opened the door of backseat andgot seated.Jai gave her look,She asked what? Jai replied,Do you think I am driver? She laughed till her stomach start hurting saying,Oops! I am sorry,I don't mean that.
Jai couldn't stop his laugh seeing her laughing joined her,and after a while when both stopped Jai asked will you now come at front seat Mam please? Then again they both broke into laugh.Dhwani got out from back seat,Jai opened front gate of car for her saying,sit down Mam please.They both started laughing again.
